Who You Are, Hobbies etc..: After making my debut on the International Road Racing Scene in 2009. One of Netherlands very few “Real Road Racers” Peter Heijmans aims to challenge the very best. Peter finished in 13th and 15th place of the IRRC and hopes to make his name more familiar in the British Isles this year.

Peter will ride 3 rounds of the International Road Racing Championship (www.irrc.eu) again in 2012. This new championship has 5 rounds all held on Road Circuits, with 2 races per event. The riders are from all parts of Europe, so it is a real International championship. With some high profile riders also taking part in it.

Apart from the IRRC, Peter will also race at 2 events on the Isle of Man. Both the Southern 100 and ManxGP. Since both events are very well known, he hopes to be one of the best non English-speaking riders. Hoping to attract some more interest from the Road Racing community. In 2010 and 2011 he made his debut at the UlsterGP and rode in a 118 mph lap in the 2nd SBK race.

Peter is also a regular rider at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, and finishing a commendable 10th in the Cock ‘o’ North race in 2010.

Beside these events he has raced in Horice and Terlicko (CZ) . And taken part in some National championship rounds on permanent circuits like Assen and Spa.

He will also race on a Supersport machine at most events, on a ’10 Honda 600 from Ten Kate. This bike is kindly supplied by FC Moore.

All in all this coming year has an exciting and full calendar, which as a result of his existing loyal and new sponsors is now even more possible. Of course extra help or funds are always welcome to back-up his professional and mature approach to his racing. With the aim to get up to speed and get an entry for the NW200 and IOM TT races in 2013.
