The Manx Telecom Post TT Road Races, which traditionally bring the TT Festival to a close, has attracted many of the ‘stars of the Mountain Course’ to the Billown Course on the outskirts of Castletown for the races being held on Saturday 9th June 2012.

William Dunlop heads the list, taking part in all three races, the 125/400cc; 250/650cc and 600cc Supersport, hoping to improve on his single victory last year.

Ian Lougher is also in for a busy day competing in all three classes and will renew his long-time rivalry with fellow veteran Chris Palmer in the Ultra Lightweight category, whilst in the combined 250/650 race they will be on different capacity machines, Ian on the SuperTwin with Chris on the quarter-litre bike.

In the feature 600cc Supersport race, add in Roy Richardson, John Burrows, Ivan Lintin, Dan Sayle, Davy Morgan and you are guaranteed close exciting action throughout the eight lap race.

Likewise a similar line up in the 250cc/650cc race will see more wheel-to-wheel action around the 4.25-mile south-side circuit.

The opening event of the Manx Telecom Post TT Road Races, the eight lap concurrently run 125/400cc will be no less entertaining with Dunlop, Palmer and Lougher seeking the first chequered flag of the day although locals Dan Sayle and Chris McGahan will also be aiming to be first past the post in this popular class.

Practice takes place between 1.00pm and 4.00pm on Saturday 9th June, with racing taking place between 5.00pm and 8.30pm at the latest.

Should racing be cancelled on Saturday (9th June) the programme will be rescheduled for Sunday 10th June with road being closed between 1.30pm and 6.00pm.
