From Avril Harlequin - ian huntly - 01-04-2013

Breaking News:

Because of the possibilty of the cuurent bad weather lasting into June, a new triangular TT course will be tried this year....It will have the start in Quarter Bridge road and competitors will race on the normal course to Ballacraine....However they will turn left and take the awe-inspiring Ballamohda Straight down to Ballasalla.. Here they will turn left again at this hairpin and race back up to Quarter Bridge.....The lap approximates 22 miles and the larger capacity machines will complete ten laps... The organisers are burning midnight oil to make a decision as to where the refuelling depots will be sited but it is thought they will be at Quarter Bridge near the fire station...

If this proves to be successful the course will be used at the Manx in August with only the Classic TT using the original mountain course.

There will be less chance of "Mist on the Mountain" with this new course.......The other decisions to be made are where to site spectator stands ...Fewer Marshals will be needed and the helicopter will be sited dead centre of the triangle formed by the course... Access to the inside of the course will be by four bridges
