William Dunlop will use this weekend’s Tandragee 100 Road Races as further preparation for the upcoming Vauxhall International North West 200 and Isle of Man TT Races.

Dunlop made an auspicious start to his Tyco Suzuki career at the Cookstown 100 last weekend, recording three podium finishes which included the well document defeat on corrected time in the feature Superbike race – despite having taken the chequered flag for what he believed was his first win in Tyco Suzuki livery.

On Friday and Saturday, Dunlop will concentrate his efforts on the team’s GSX-R600 Supersport machine, due to the Moneymore based team having to split their commitments between British championship duties at Oulton Park with three riders and the aforementioned Tandragee 100.

Dunlop said of his upcoming Tandragee effort:

“This weekend will give us more time on the wee 600 and it’s the perfect place to try a few things for the TT. We made a good start at Cookstown on all Tyco Suzuki bikes and despite the disappointment it has left me feeling very positive about the next few weeks. Tandragee is always a great race if the weather is dry, so hopefully the sun shines on Saturday.”

Team Manager Philip Neill added:

“It’s been a while since we’ve been able to support the Tandragee as a team because of other commitments – so it’s pleasing to be on the entry list. It’s another opportunity for William to get some valuable mileage on our GSX-R600 and I’m sure he’ll be competitive, but the trip is more for preparation purposes for the North West and TT.”
