Well that's me well and truly. Lost Sticks. You have. Gone to a shop clicked this folderd that ?? What's a bl--dy folder when it's at home or in the bl--dy shop then you expect me to remember what size this Site wants compared to what I use on other sites all very confusing , and then as if all that was not bad enough, a size I can just about understand 3x2. 6x4 that's okay but now we have dpi, now in the wonderful world of intergalactic man on the moon years surely it could be made all automatic, we had auto transmission in God knows when and it worked

Yours confused from Yorkshire.

Well Eddy, the photo you posted of the Fairy Bridge is only 54kb so somehow you managed to do what was required.  See it is that easy you did not even know you had done it !!

RE: Photo posting - Steady the Edward - 25-11-2014

and whats even more worrying Dommy is I had to show you a phatographer how to post a picture , talk about the blind leading the blind , ha ha ha looks as if we make a good team mate

RE: Photo posting - Steady the Edward - 25-11-2014

Just red Malcolms update on photo postings , now it all sounded a bit technical to but that's nowt fresh for me , but I think the jist of it is he has gone and slapped a borgwarner power shift in to the workings some where or other and we should just about be able to post photos without any of that jiggerty pokery concockting ya hoooo good on ya Malc as one Mr Guy would say " Top Man , Top Man "

RE: Photo posting - Steady the Edward - 26-11-2014

Sulk sulk sulk , there was me thinking I had got all sorted and lo and behold two photos later I am all confushas again , I posted a photo of the must go to Fairy Bridge and yeeeee it was fine so all full of clever I posted a pickture of my tent and it comes up wide slightly off the edge , so me thinks right lets do some Sherlock house job and , when I get me glass to the good eye I find that according to Mr Bucket the one that looks all posh proper done says it is 1024x767 but then the one that is too wide is only 800x600 what ???? , now to me that's a F that can't be bothered job , technology how I love it NOT

RE: Photo posting - sticky - 26-11-2014

both those sizes are too big anyway - needs to be no bigger than 640 on it's longest side Icon_biggrin

RE: Photo posting - captainsparkledotcom - 26-11-2014

So, reading Malcolms updated post, can we now do as before, then resize,
as I posted earlier,
pretty much as we used to?

RE: Photo posting - sticky - 26-11-2014

I believe so, as long as the image is no bigger than 640 pixels @ 72dpi and you don't put more than about 6 images up per post.

RE: Photo posting - captainsparkledotcom - 26-11-2014

I'll give it a try!!
Using my 'method', I've resized it to 638 by 509.

rutolander
sorry went over 6 but was not the only one will count them in future.

RE: Photo posting - sticky - 26-11-2014

I don't think there's a limit to how many in a thread now - just per post, otherwise it can take ages to load.

I cant see the wood for the trees should have spotted that.

RE: Photo posting - Steady the Edward - 26-11-2014

this is were I am all confused the first pic of the bridge I was told that I had done it spot on without trying and when I look at the size it is stored at and was posted at according to Mr Bucket as I said was 1024x767 so how come the next one that I put up that is stored and posted at, 800x600 appears to be too wide is my problem , and as I red Malcolms last post he said that as long as it fit on the page and did not over lap or what ever, it was ok ,

but if 800 is going to appear wider than 1024 then I will leave it to you wonder whizzzzzz kids I admit defeat , its not as if I have that much worth putting up any way

RE: Photo posting - Steady the Edward - 27-11-2014

Don't worry I can't be bothered it just plain not worth the hassle, and a shed load of whizzzzz kids can't tell me how come 1024 is smaller than 800. Then how on earth is a numbty like me ever going to make sense of it at all, no chance

RE: Photo posting - Steady the Edward - 27-11-2014

Iv just tried it and it works but I still got a file size thats to big something to work on.

Ah but some of us are slow learners and have other things in life to be getting on with I have just done one and to do all the jiggerdy pockery rubbish from stat to finish took me 27 mins on my steam powered updown laptop converter
