Shock news...no more TT for Jim Moodie - Anonymous - 14-08-2003

Yes sadly its true. On www.jimmoodie.info A statement released tonight details very clearly Jims reasoning behind his decision not to race again at the TT. Personally i find it very sad but you cannot help but understand the reasons that Jim gives. As was said in numerous postings after the TT (myself included) a great many things need to change or i fear Jim will not be the only one.
Thankyou Jim for all the support that you have given the TT over the years and leaving many, many fans with great memories.
cheers,
Stella

Thats fair comment by Jim , if anyone deserves respect for his decision then its this man , i`ve truely enjoyed watching him over the years at the TT and the place will be a lesser place without his competetive nature....although im sure we will see him enjoying a pint or two around the place.

You cannot really blame him after the Practice episode !!

Good fortune Jim in everything you do........

The TT has been made richer by your involvement.

Eight TT wins is no mean achievement!! Jim Moodie has certainly been value for money and if it is the end of his TT career, he will be sorely missed. I do, however, think that he should elaborate on his reasons for ending his TT career, if for no other reason than that the organisers may learn something that will be to the benefit of all involved.

Saw Jim in the paddock at Dundrod yesterday.

He greeted me cheerfully and looked happy!

If that's what he wants to do, Mike, then he'll tell us why if he wants to.

We shouldn't push him.

Re: Shock news...no more TT for Jim Moodie - Anonymous - 16-08-2003

Must admit i am really surprised that not more people have picked up on this very point ? Has everyone forgotton all the controversy during this weeks TT ? Guess so. While i have the greatest admiration for Jims decision and agree completely with it, i am surprised that not more has been posted regarding this side of Jims decision.
PS And here was me only home for spares to take to East Fortune !!!

Should of been a good nights practice but wasnt for reasons which will become obvious shortly and i can say no more
