Rider dies after Senior MGP incident
Organisers pay tribute to event stalwart
Festival of Motorcycling organisers have confirmed a second rider has died after crashing during this year’s meeting.
The Manx Motor Cycle Club says David Taylor of Sheffield died following an incident at Brandywell during Friday’s Senior Manx Grand Prix.
David had ridden in the Max Grand Prix for almost thirty years, and was an ambassador for the event.
Manx Motor Cycle Club chairman Harvey Garton said he was a well respected rider who was liked by all, and expressed the club’s condolences to Mr Taylor’s family and friends.

A man who gave so much to so many who came to the Isle of Man to live their dream on the Mountain Circuit.
You will be very sadly missed by so many.

I am devastated to hear this news. I have known David for many years. He was SO enthusiastic about the event.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. Sincerest condolences to David's loved-ones and many friends at this dreadful time. Rest peacefully now Mr Taylor. You will be greatly missed.
