Short list of two bids to be discussed

Manx Radio understands the appointment of a T.T. promoter will be discussed at next week's Council of Ministers meeting on Thursday.

A recommendation will be made to the April sitting of Tynwald.

The aim is to move commercial aspects such as licensing, broadcast rights and retail away from the government.

And to grow the TT and Festival of Motorcycling further.

Manx Radio believes there are two front-runners - both off-Island enterprises.

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly has confirmed the tender process is coming to an end:

the thing is the transport to the island cant cope now so why try get more there
improve the transport links then look to see if you can get more over
unless there idea is selling coverage i just cant see what they can do
