Ron Soar awarded 'Spirit of the Manx' - Malcolm - 05-09-2017

The very popular winner of the 2017 Spirit of the Manx Award was Ron Soar from Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Ron was a Newcomer to the MGP in 2002 and who a very proud father when his son Andrew won the Senior MGP in 2014. Andrew then progressed to the TT where he was involved in a fatal accident in 2016.
In memory of his son, Ron continued racing on the TT Course and finished 34th in this year’s Lightweight Race.
Ron received the Award at the Villa Marina Presentation on Friday evening as is pictured with John McBride, Chairman of the MGP Riders Association
