On the road to recovery - Steve Mercer

Six months on from the TT crash that nearly claimed his life, Steve Mercer is on the road to recovery.

He was critically injured when red-flagged TT riders were allowed to travel back to the Grandstand the ’wrong way’.

His machine was involved in a head-on collision with a course car at Ballacrye.

An independent inquiry has been held in private.

Steve Mercer posted on Facebook:

’Six months ago I was hit head-on by a TT course car that was travelling at over 100mph and somehow lived to tell the tale.

’Thank you to everyone who is supporting me and to my angels for another chance.’
