As of 2020, there will be no weekend supplements for passengers travelling between October and March. This means passengers travelling with their car can save up to £25 each way when sailing over the weekend during these months.

Travelling by ferry with the Steam Packet Company is the perfect start to any getaway. Passengers can sit back and relax in one of the spacious lounges or stretch their legs throughout the sailing, taking in the sea views on the outside deck.  They can also refuel before their onward journey at the Coast to Coast Café and enjoy a spot of on-board shopping at Ocean Avenue.

Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said:

‘We’re pleased to confirm that our great range of offers is returning for 2020, including the ever-popular Kids Go Free Summer Special. This gives families the freedom to pack up the car with everything they need for an action-packed summer holiday in the UK or Ireland at very affordable prices.

‘We’ve also got the Student Foot Passenger offer for those in full time off-Island Further or Higher Education, meaning students can take advantage of low fares, no weekend supplements and additional booking flexibility.

‘We’re pleased to continue offering low Foot Passenger Offers, in addition to a range of Car Offers for those wanting to enjoy the freedom and convenience of bringing their vehicle on their travels.

‘Whether you’re planning a family holiday, a city break with friends or a romantic getaway with your other half, now is a great time to book to secure our lowest fares and make the most of our great range of offers.’

In early Spring 2020, fast craft Manannan will resume her usual seasonal services, commencing regular sailings into the heart of Liverpool on 27th March. The first sailing of the year to Dublin is scheduled for 28th March and to Belfast for 8th April.

Ben-my-Chree will operate twice daily crossings between Douglas and Heysham throughout the year. This follows the announcement in September that essential engineering works taking place at Birkenhead will prevent the vessel from berthing for her scheduled weekend winter sailings.

To minimise disruption for passengers, the Steam Packet Company will operate an increased number of sailings to Heysham at weekends throughout winter, in addition to offering an express return coach service between Heysham and Liverpool on Saturdays and Sundays for foot passengers.

Mr Woodward concluded:

‘There are exciting times ahead for the Steam Packet Company and 2020 will play a significant role in laying the foundations for future investment. We will be looking to secure a new vessel to replace Ben-my-Chree, and work has already begun on the new ferry terminal in Liverpool which, once open, will be a great benefit to local passengers travelling via the city.

‘We understand that people like to start looking ahead to the new year and organising holidays and travel plans as early as possible, so we’re pleased to release our full schedule for 2020 and look forward to welcoming passengers on board come the new year.’
