For the Techy's out there

The 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship is getting closer to kicking-off Down Under at Phillip Island, with five manufacturers ready to duel throughout the season. As in recent seasons, the performance balancing algorithm has been used to determine the Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) of each of the five manufacturers and their respected models. The performances are based on the final three rounds of the 2019 season.

Please find below the RPM limits for the 2020 WorldSBK manufacturers:

Kawasaki:  - 14600
Ducati V4:  - 16100
Yamaha 2020:  - 14950
BMW:  - 14950
2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R:  - 15600

The 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R with its new engine has a limit based on the maximum RPM of the homologated street motorcycle.

With regards to the Yamaha YZF-R1, the limit is based on the performance from the 2019 season.

Find here the relevant PDF document about the performance balancing algorithm and the RPM limits in more detail.
