On this day the 2nd of July, Joey lost his life at a pretty insignificant meeting on  the heavily wooded circuit near the city of Tallin in Estonia.

Great man, fantastic rider and of course King of the Mountain.

R.I.P. William Joseph Dunlop. MBE & OBE

On the 20th anniversary of Joey Dunlop's death, bikers in Tallinn pay their respects to the racing legend,
with a ride past the Ballymoney man's memorial.

RE: 20 Years Ago - Trodan - 04-07-2020

I remember that Sunday very well, exactly what I was doing when the news flash came across the radio. I couldn't believe it. I lived in Ballymena Northern Ireland at the time and every evening there was protesting which led to rioting and stone throwing against the police. I can honestly remember that week Joey passed not a single pebble was thrown by either side. Joey was truly one of the few people who could bring this country together, orange or green it didn't matter whenever it came to Joey. RIP #3
