The first 100mph TT lap by a proddy bike was,as most of us know,a Triumph Bonneville, but what was the closest to it by a Norton Commando?Did Pete Lovell come close at the Manx a year or so ago?Indeed, was he riding a Commando?
On another subject, how about a classic production race,3 classes, with a mass start in each class, the larger capacity to start first.Strict instructions not to bin it at Q Bridge on cold ribbed tyres etc.!A possible 4 laps to incorporate compulsory refuelling.Any support on
this?

I've often said a Forgotten Era race would find a lot of favour. 750 Classics would be pretty much as good. They could run it on the Saturday afternoon before race week like they use to with the Senior Classic.

Or would the Financial Sector object?
