RE: MGP 2010 REGS Now Available - an old man returns - 13-04-2010

All entries must be made on the official entry form and sent to the Secretary of the Meeting by Saturday 12 June with the appropriate entry fees which are £300 sterling for each race. See Reg 8 for non ACU & SACU Licence Holders. The entry fee for these riders will be £210. A total surcharge of £25 will be payable for entries received after Friday 30 April after 5.00 pm. Modern and Classic Newcomers will be exempt from this surcharge Icon_eek

But still crackin value for money when you think an average club meeting now is £100-£120.

RE: MGP 2010 REGS Now Available - Menty - 14-04-2010

I am afraid after 6 consecutive yrs competing I won't be going this year, how anyone considers a 20% price increase in one year (no doubt it is the insurers to blame) 'good value' is beyond me. By the time I have paid £900 for three rides, £600 for the ferry, £7-800 minimum for tyres and fuel and lived for two weeks that is more club meetings than I could fit in one year! I am very sad it has come to this but when you do not have the luxury of sponsorship (as many of my racing friends also don't have) it is just no longer viable.
