The poetry of Bray Hill (1939)
You can see here a shot to Stanley Woods on his Velocette 500cc. during the 1939 Senior TT. The shot is published on M. Freundenberg's ""The Isle of Man TT - An illustrated History 1907-1980" [Aston Publication 1980].

The place should be the bottom of Bray Hill (the manx experts can confirm or confutate this). Look at the flattened front tyre... Also, the rear tyre seems not to be on the line of the front one. How much speed? No more than 110 mph I think.

There is an incredible poetry in this shot. The man is literally clung to the racing machine and tries to do one thing with it.

I am pretty certain the shot was taken at Crosby crossroads, just before the Crosby Hotel

The poetry of Crosby
Much interesting, Bill! I apologize for the error. But that flattened tyre? I imagine there were many bumps on the Crosby straight.
