Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team rider has been forced to withdraw from the 2018 Suzuka 8 Hour, after the British rider crashed during practice for the renowned endurance race riding for the ‘Red Bull Honda with Japan Post’ team.

Camier was one of three riders, alongside Takumi Takahashi and Taka Nakagami recruited to ride for the official Honda Racing Corporation team at the Suzuka 8 Hour who were one of the favourites to challenge for this year’s title.

Unfortunately while testing the CBR1000RRW machine on Tuesday, July 10, Camier crashed near the turn 11 hairpin and following examination at a nearby medical facility, was deemed to have fractured a vertebra. As a result, Camier will not race in the Suzuka 8 Hour and has returned to Europe to recover.

There is currently no information on who Camier’s replacement in the ‘Red Bull Honda with Japan Post’ team will be.
