Upon receipt of the bad news I have been in touch with both my regular hotel and the Steam Packet Company.

The hotel rolled over my booking to chosen dates 2022 without  fuss or charge.

The Steam Packet Company state they will roll over sailings to 2022 or offer refunds, they intend to contact customers after Saturday 20th March with full details but seem to guarantee standing bookings.

All in all the situation although dire is understandable, the Manx community are suffering a further surge in infections at the moment and a further influx of 'foreign' visitors before they can gain absolute control of the virus could be catastrophic for the islanders.

My sympathies to the Manx community whilst still looking forward to coming years.
