Leading British Superbike Championship team Quattro Plant Kawasaki will field a two-man team at this year’s Isle of Man TT Races, fuelled by Monster Energy, with Australian ace David Johnson and Steve Heneghan contesting all three 1000cc races.

The duo will campaign ZX-10R Kawasakis in the Dainese Superbike, PokerStars Senior and Royal London 360º Superstock Races. Heneghan will also contest the Supersport and Lightweight TT Races.

28-year old Johnson makes his much anticipated return to the Mountain Course after a year’s absence and having won the Newcomers Trophy in 2010. His addition to the entry is a terrific boost to what is already a formidable line-up. The Adelaide rider picked up 5 bronze replicas from his 5 races in 2010 and recorded a best finish of 16th in the Senior, also setting a best lap of 123.838mph, which remains the 4th fastest Newcomer’s lap of all time.

Although he didn’t compete at the TT last year, Johnson did contest the Ulster GP in 2011, recording top 15 finishes. He will again compete in the 2012 National Superstock 1000cc Championship for the Carbontek Racing BMW squad.

Heneghan returns to the TT for the 4th successive year where he will be looking to build on the results he achieved 12 months ago, his best year to date on the Island. The 29-year old from Galway picked up 3 bronze replicas in 2011 and also posted a new personal best lap of 120.500mph. A regular now at both the TT and North West 200, Heneghan will also ride for Quattro Plant Kawasaki in this year’s National Superstock 1000cc Championship.

Formerly known as PR Racing, John Jameson’s team started in 1995 from a workshop in Liverpool city centre and in 1999 they moved up to the British Supersport Championship. In 2002, the team moved into the British Superbike Championship where they have remained ever since. The team’s highlight was undoubtedly winning the 2006 BSB Privateer’s Cup with Chris Martin.

Paul Phillips, TT and Motorsport Manager, Isle of Man Government, commented:

“We’re delighted to have another of the leading BSB teams committing to the TT and shows the strength of the event. In Steve, the team has a strong TT rider who is progressing every year while Dave Johnson had a stunning first year in 2010 and will definitely be one to watch this year.”
