RE: TTFans 2013 Project -
Unlike last year when I had a super response to my idea of a commemorative plaque for Bob Macs 99.58 mph lap, I have had no financial response whatsoever to my 2013 project to set up a similar plaque for the "TT Helicopter/saving Tony Godfrey" occasion in 1963..

I have made my own contribution by designing a relevant item to be displayed in the Hailwood Centre and will have it unveiled by a person of note while I am over in June.

I know money is tight these days but feel that these milestones of TT History should be remembered and used to show newer fans how the TT developed.

I had hoped that people might contribute something, no matter how small to my project...If not I will be disappointed and give up my TT Memories. It's up to you now, we have only two weeks to have a plaque produced...........If you wish to be involved post your name please or contact me by PM.

I would have thought Ian that the IOM goverment/TT organizing committee or the TT development department would have contributed. Perhaps they could donate the money they recieve from the ebay sale of the first TT sign to it ??

TT History does not sppear to fit the remit of the organisers these days....Sad since the TT is built on more than 100 years of memories.

I am pleased that I will see some of the machines from yesteryears but that will be at the Manx and that will be my priority this year.

It's strange that we fans put forward sensible suggestions but they are totally ignored......then we see the idea appear without anyone offering credit where credit is due .

Whatever I raise will go to the Helicopter fund or be refunded if I don't raise enough for the Plaque.....My kitty is a mere £60 at the moment which needs about at least an extra £240 coming in to float the project.......

Otherwise Plan B will come into effect --- paid for by me alone -- and that will be the last project I will ever suggest...
