After another successful summer season with virtually 100 % occupancy in June, July and August and with a 35% increase in guests, JDF are now progressing their plans to construct two additional apartments at Braddan Bridge House.

Kevin Quirk of JDF said

‘During 2013 , we were pleased to welcome many new guests who have all said they will be returning plus we had several group visits consisting of young children, teenagers and adults with learning difficulties.’

Looking towards 2014, the big event will be Classic TT which will have a Joey Dunlop theme all very exciting and to enhance the festival the Joey Dunlop Memorial Lap of the TT course has been switched from its traditional date of 2nd July to Tuesday 26th August 2014.

The lap will start at 18.30 and participants will meet in Pit lane and Parc Ferme, as with previous memorial laps we will be selling a special T shirt for the event.

Each year the ride out attracts between 400 and 500 motorcycles and with it now being part of the Motorcycle Festival there will be a significant increase in entrants and Isle of Man Police have agreed to conduct traffic control at all major junctions until Ballacraine and subject to resources will supply four Police Motorcyclists.

For the past two years, Isle of Man Trike Tours (http://www.iomtriketours.com/) have headed the ride out and with three trikes it may be more difficult controlling the parade lap. Andy of IOM Trikes has offered a Memorial Lap Trike ride as an auction prize at the annual Joey Dunlop Foundation charity dinner which takes place at The Empress Hotel, Douglas on Saturday 11th January 2014.
