William onto a winner in opener

William Dunlop made a winning start to the Radcliffe's Butchers Post TT Road Races on Saturday.

24 hours after his brother Michael won the Senior TT, William triumphed in the Cu Plas Callow 600cc race over eight laps.

He finished 1.8 seconds in front of Jamie Coward to come out on top after 34 miles and reclaim the crown he won in 2013.

Robert Wilson finished third to secure his first podium place at Billown.

Dunlop was pleased after his start-to-finish victory.

Cowton's Southern success

Coward second again

An exciting Crossleys 250/650cc Post TT race at Billown was won by James Cowton on Saturday night.

Cowton saw off namesake Jamie Coward over six laps to win the race for a second successive year.

He finished 3.7 seconds clear of Coward who was ahead of third placed Rob Hodson.

Displaying the Radcliffe's Butchers livery, Cowton said it was a fitting way to thank the event sponsors.

Dunlop double at Post TT!

Ballymoney man sets new lap record

Two weeks of motorcycling in the Isle of Man finished on a high on Saturday night.

William Dunlop sealed a new outright lap record at the Post TT Road Races in the process as he secured a double in the Radcliffe's Butchers sponsored event.

After taking the 600cc race earlier in the evening, Dunlop produced a commanding display in the Manx Independent Carriers 1100cc race.

Ryan Kneen was second and Rob Hodson third.

Dunlop was pleased after his record breaking 110.591 mph lap and is now looking forward to next month’s Southern 100.
