T.T. winner gets Order of Merit

Ten-time T.T. winner Bruce Anstey has been honoured in his home country.

He has been made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his exploits in road racing.

The 46 year-old took his first big bike win at last year's T.T. when he took victory in the opening Superbike race.

Anstey received his award from the Governor-General of New Zealand.

Nice to see our home town boy receive his award on tele last night. Wish he would trim his bug catcher beard up though, recon that's where he loses time in the TT, probably would gain a couple of seconds with it off. Anyway we will be supporting him at the TT this year , so GO Bruce Number1
