TT 1957: The first 100mph lap - we're bringing it back to life

In 2017 we'll be celebrating Bob McIntyre's memorable milestone achievement at the 1957 Jubilee TT when he became the first rider to officially lap at over 100mph. Riding the stunning Gilera 500cc Grand Prix machine the tough Scot recorded 101.03mph on lap two of the Senior TT, eventually pushing his best speed out to 101.12mph on lap 4. A very impressive way to celebrate the TT's 50th anniversary.

60 years on current lap record holder Michael Dunlop will be parading a very special Gilera replica - including that famous 'dustbin' fairing - in tribute to a true TT hero.

Don't miss this fantastic spectacle, tickets are on sale now for grandstands, the Classic TT Party and the brilliant Classic TT Heroes Dinner, where you can rub shoulders with TT stars past and present.
