SILICONE ENGINEERING AND DEAN HARRISON SET TO CHALLENGE FOR HONOURS AT THE CLASSIC TT

Silicone Engineering and their rider Dean Harrison will mount a concerted attack on this year’s Classic TT Races presented by Bennetts with the Silicone Engineering Kawasaki rider adding the Motorsport Merchandise Superbike race to his Black Eagle Racing commitments in the Bennetts Senior Classic and Sure Junior Classic TT Races.

The 28-year old has made no secret of the fact the Classic TT Races presented by Bennetts is one of the main events of his season and having already won the 2015 Senior Classic and 2013 Formula Superbike Races, he’s now looking to add the Superbike Race to his collection as well.

Last year saw Harrison finish second in the Motorsport Merchandise Superbike Race having lapped at 125.512mph only to be removed from the results due to a technical infringement and he’s keen to make amends this time around and challenge the likes of Michael Dunlop and Bruce Anstey for the race win.

2017 has been an excellent year for Harrison so far having recently been crowned Southern 100 Solo Champion for the first time as well as taking a brace of podiums at this year’s TT Races with third in both the RST Superbike and Pokerstars Senior Races.

He also claimed a maiden rostrum at the North West 200 and will come into this year’s Classic TT Races as a strong contender for honours in all three of his races.

Speaking ahead of the Classic TT, Dean Harrison said:

“The whole team is really looking forward to the Classic TT again this year. I’ve loved it since day one and the team have really started to embrace it too. The TT was really good for us this year and hopefully the Classic TT will be more of the same. The Kawasaki ZXR 750 is a strong package and hopefully we can give Michael (Dunlop) a run for his money on the big Suzuki, but it’s a strong entry and there are going to be a lot of potential winners.”
