Classic tt parade lap
Hi folks.
Just had my entry accepted for the parade lap and have to say Im really looking forward to it.

Im in the middle of prepping the bike at the minute and was wondering if the scrutineering  for the parade lap is to the same specs as for current race machinery?

I ask as my bike has 90s spec race fairings which didn't allow for oil containment like the newer stuff does and I don't want to get there and be turned down on it.
Otherwise the bike is fully compliant with current regs re chain guard, brake lever protector, lockwired etc.

Has anyone here been through the technical inspection last year that could advise.?

Thanks.  Bob.

RE: Classic tt parade lap
Just to follow up on this and for information for anyone else in a similar situation to myself.

I spoke to one of the fellas at technical inspection while over at the TT.

DO NOT TAKE THIS AS AN OFFICIAL GUIDE> THIS IS MY CONCLUSION AFTER A 2 MIN CHAT

While machines will be inspected and must be in good condition, they DO NOT have to comply with full race preparation specs.

From our conversation I came to the following conclusions.

Lockwire.    Not required but recommended

Oil Containment.   Not required. Recommended where practical.

Tyres.     Manufacturers Thread pattern.  IE.  No slicks or cut slicks.

Hopefully this can be of some help to someone.
