Milwaukee has signed an agreement with the Isle of Man Government, the commercial rights owners of the Isle of Man TT Races, to be the title sponsor of the Senior TT Race. The race will be titled the Milwaukee Senior TT Race.

The company is an industry leading manufacturer and marketer of heavy-duty, portable electric power tools, accessories and hand tools for trade professionals. It has a long history with motorcycle racing and has supported teams in World Superbike, British Superbike and the road racing circuit.

Welcoming the new partnership Rob Callister, the Isle of Man Government representative responsible for Tourism and Motorsport said:

“We are delighted to add such a prestigious company to our portfolio of official sponsors and we look forward to a close working partnership with Milwaukee. Commercial partners are critical to the continued success of the event as the money from the commercial activities is invested back into the event to secure its long-term future.”

Dale McElveen, General Manager Milwaukee commented:

“The Isle of Man TT offers us a strong global platform to raise awareness and promote our products to a worldwide audience and everyone at Milwaukee is excited about the partnership.”

He continued:

“It is an honour to become the title sponsor of the Senior TT as this is a race that has a remarkable history and tradition and represents a prestigious association for our company and products.”

The Senior TT is the most prestigious Isle of Man TT event, and has been won by some of the most illustrious names in Motorcycle racing history. Riders compete for the priceless Marquis de Mouzilly St. Mars trophy which was first awarded in 1907. Past race winners include Giacomo Agostini, Geoff Duke OBE, John Surtees CBE, Mike Hailwood MBE, Carl Fogarty MBE, Phil Read MBE, John McGuinness and Joey Dunlop OBE.

As part of the sponsorship Milwaukee will receive high profile trackside branding, programme and race guide advertising as well as an expo presence in the TT race paddock showcasing its latest products.  The company will receive exposure through the TT’s official digital media channels and is also entitled to use the trademarked TT logo on all company products to illustrate its category exclusive official tool partner status.

The first TT Race was held on the Isle of Man in 1907 and featured in the World Championship from 1949 until 1976. The time trial format race sees the world’s leading road racers tackle the iconic 37¾ mile TT Mountain Course that has been in use since 1911 Mike Hailwood MBE, Geoff Duke OBE, John Surtees CBE, Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read MBE and Joey Dunlop OBE.
