CRUTCHLOW CHASING CHANGE OF FORTUNE IN AUSTRIA

LCR Honda CASTROL rider Cal Crutchlow is targeting a positive result as the MotoGP class arrives in Austria for the second of three back-to-back races. The Briton has finished 13th in both of his last two Grand Prix outings – in Jerez and Brno – and is looking to get back to challenging at the front of the field in Spielberg this weekend.

A difficult start in Brno last week cost Crutchlow dear as he was forced to fight his way through from towards the back of the field. With mixed weather forecast for the event in Austria, the 34-year-old believes flexibility around the set-up of his bike will prove crucial as he aims to emulate his fourth-placed finish at the Red Bull Ring in 2018.

“I’m looking forward to getting back on track this week for our second race in three weekends. We will have to keep a big eye on the weather forecast and then find out what’s the best dry and wet weather set-ups for our bike, because rain could be one of the main factors on Sunday. We also need to make a program of settings changes to make to the bike after Brno and I expect a better result this weekend.”
