Forum Recommendations
With the anticipated unfortunate disappearance of our community on TTWebsite, are there any recommendations for simliar forums where we might continue to maintain contact, chat and exchange views and info?

RE: Forum Recommendations
I know it's not a forum, but Roy Moore and Barry Wood have a Facebook group which is similar in ethos to a forum (I think it's a closed group so you have to be approved after clicking to join). It's called "Roy Moore & Barry Wood' s Mountain Memories".

I've been a member in "between the hedges" for several years. At the moment I can't log in. Password doesn't fit. Trying to create a new account is impossible. Where shall I type the confirmation code?

Silja I think it must have been re-booted, so to speak. I joined yesterday (for the first time) and there were only 17 members.

I used to be on it, but I invariably couldn't log in, then a few weeks ago it said it was "a security risk" or some such thing, now it all looks totally different!! I'll have to try again!

RE: Forum Recommendations
Between-the-Hedges had problems and has re-started, hence the low number of subscribers.  It's very similar to Malcolm's site and I would recomend having a look. A number of the TT Forum members are already on it.  It's a shame we have to go elswhere, but it does keep the group together for the time being.

RE: Forum Recommendations
The security risk is normally browsers pushing HTTPS sites with encrypyed data transnission rather than the older HTTP sites with plain text transmission. I still run both.

Unless it is a secure banking site or the like it does not matter in my view. No one is going to gain by logging your guesses at a photo!

Yes Between The Hedges appears a reboot of a previous offering.

This link should take you to the new BTH site.  You will need to set up your account again and will be sent an email to activate it. They were having problems as some of us found out, but all is working now.

To be honest - I'd prefer that some of my guesses stay in the group......

I have migrated to "Between the Hedges" but will stay on this forum for as long as the facility is available. Keep on getting better Malcolm.

Looks like 'Between The Hedges' may have gone tits up, it's been down all day.

The site has been barely maintained since last September's latest inception with the sole admin only logging on once since then.

Thank goodness we still have Malcolm!
