I've had an email from someone. If you get lapped does it still count as a result towards your TT licence?

Getting lapped does NOT matter
Just finish and be on the results sheet is enough
Any speed event will do hill climb, drag race, sidecar passsenger, road race, short curcuit............anything

I,m sorry this is not correct, you must compete in a road race or short circuit race and compete satisfactorily. Hill climbs, sprints, etc. will not count.
When you send in your results a committee will decide if the results are satisfactory.

I've just looked at the Course licence form for the TT 2008 and you could well be right the wording seems to have changed from last year.
Interestingly they ask for "6 Road Race meetings" were as last year it asked for "6 race meetings"

However does that mean that short curcuits do NOT count ?

As ever the ACU demonstrate their inability to produce a clear and unambigious document...............they are utterly useless.

Don't forget, when the ACU refer to a road race, they include in that term what we civilised folk call a short circuit.

You have to know the language . . . . . . .

Just been to the Southern100 AGM.
Best club in the world, running the best races (and best run) in the world. Roll on the Pre-TT Classic.
Wonedrful to see a committee where everyone is committed to the riders and the racing, and has total integrity.
Thanks for all the years I (and my family) have enjoyed, and looking forward to the future.
