Small, small world
Whilst sitting, waiting at my local bank to speak with manager about some funds to cover upcoming holiday...bear in mind I live in a seaside town approx 2 hours drive north of Sydney....I noticed man, denim jeans, leather jacket on mobile phone coming through bank door. In Oz, you must remove helmet before entering a bank however the helmet on his arm was a Joey Dunlop replica!! I pointed to it, Joey, by this time man had finished phone call and in the most unbelievable N.I. accent expressed how amazing it was to speak with someone who knew of J.D. Unfortunately I only had time for a very quick chat but I learned that this guy is/was a medic at the TT. Told me all about Ballymoney and the pub and the fact that he knew Joey. No time for introductions, maybe he's here working. We have a lot of Irish Docs and nurses down under. Made my day.
