Finishers in the Junior Classic were on Hondas. That's 13 out of the top 15 bikes.

Similarly, in the Lightweights we had 7 of the 11 finishers on Suzukis including the top 4.

How long before there's nothing but 350 Hondas and 250 Suzukis, and is that what we want to see?

Probably not long - and no! I'd rather see a few more single-cylinder machines in there.

The real question you should be asking is why so many of the others didn't finish, and is this a major factor in riding a classic bike at the Manx?
When people say one thing and mean another its called politics, when organisers say one thing and mean another its called a mistake, when the ACU say one thing and mean another its called information.

How many others failed to finish then? Or are you perhaps just assuming they broke down?

I'm not saying the Honda/Suzuki dominance is right or wrong. It's understandable riders will gravitate to machinery with the best turn of speed, especially when they are more affordable that the likes of MVs and Patons. But when that leads to a lot of bikes coming in that were hardly used at the time and certainly weren't dominant at the time, well, let's just say it changes the nature of the event and maybe doesn't encourage anybody else to enter any other type of bike.
