Delayed Start
With a couple of minutes to go and everybody out with their lids on, a delay has been called, due to a loose dog out on the course. Geoff Cannell suggests a shotgun to take care of the problem !!

Barney The Dog !
Apparently a dog from the inside of the course at Kirk Michael called Barney is the cause of the delay. Police and manx radio are putting out appeals for anyone who can help with this fiasco.

Announcement
It has been announced that the race will go ahead at 14:30.

Will this now mean that all dogs on the Island will have to have electronic locators fitted to them, or will all marshals have to learn how to hide behind trees and make a noise like a bone ?

It's a Go'er
The race is on with with Atkinson, Duckett and Gilder away and so close they look as if they are tied together. Tommy Clucas roars off the line Andy Jakson on his way, Ken McRay also away out. Maria Costello away and outdragged by Alex Donaldson, Forrestall on his way,

End of Lap 1
Tommy Clucas looks as if he is having problems, although still out there. He is dropping back in the placings. Maria Costello appears to really have the bit between her teeth today.

First through on the road is Gilder and Ducket overtakes him just after the line. Next is Quinn then Pattinson, next Atkinson and Sylvester, McRae runs through and Clucas is in the pits with what appears to be the same problem as Wednesday,

Tommy Clucas has no luck this week as he retires yet again.

Sylvester
Donaldson
Costello
McRae
Atkinson
Andy Jackson

Watch Maria, she is moving up the placings.
