Does anyone know Roger Hurst who is racing a Jim Lee Yam TD1c in the MGP this year or does anyone have a piccy of the bike?

Im trying to trace an ex-Jim lee framed TD1C which my father owned/raced in the 80's

Mick Grant rode a Jim Lee Yamaha in the 1971 TT, was your Dad's one similar?

Hi Bill, I believe thats a TR3 because of the square fined barrels.

The TD1C which my dad had the following items on
metal profile forks, farhon drum front brake, TD1c rear brake, TD1c engine, the distinctive tank following the lines of the original 1c tank but with a different bottom designed to fit the twin top tube frame. Also it had a box under the tank with twin fuel taps.

When he sold the bike it had a black frame, white tank and seat (red stripe) and the fairing was a TD2 in yellow with a red stripe. The swinging arm was also chromed.

That looks like a TR2B that Granty is on, they had the cooling fins on the head slanted outwards towards the front as seen in the pic, I think the TR3 had straight fins, how sad am I lol

Paul Coward has a Jim Lee framed TD1C. I don't know it's history though.

Hi I'm a good friend of Roger's, I'll get in contact with him for you. I was at the S100 & I meant to take some pics of the bike. I'm helping Rog in the pits at the Manx.

Thanks Ali for letting me know about this post, I nearly forgot to check site! oooops. See you at Manx.

Thanks
Tracy
