Irish ‘roads’ specialist Ryan Farquhar will be joined by Stephen Thompson at the prestigious Kennedy International North West 200 road races whilst Junior Superstock Champion Jamie Hamilton will benefit from combined support from MSS Colchester Kawasaki and Gearlink Kawasaki in the British Supersport class. Thompson, from Crumlin, rode for the team back in 2005 at the Macau GP whilst Farquhar won the NW200 Supersport race for the squad in 2006.

Ryan and Stephen will campaign specially prepared Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Superbike machines and Jamie will be Ninja ZX-6R mounted with an MSS Supersport engine.

Considered to be one of the world’s fastest road races, the International North West 200’s 8.96 mile long course is a challenge to rider, machine and tyres alike. The circuit really tests handling and performance with differing surfaces, adverse cambers and all corners from tight first gear hairpin bends to super-fast open corners and straights.

The Superbike riders will slipstream each other at incredible speeds of over 200mph, on the long NW200 back straight. The North West 200 is recognised to be Northern Ireland’s largest single day sporting event with around one hundred and twenty thousand spectators expected to gather at the famous ‘triangle’ course.

MSS Colchester Kawasaki Team Owner, Nick Morgan said : ‘We’re pleased to be supporting Stephen and Ryan at the North West and we’re sure of fantastic welcome with two local boys. In British Supersport we wanted to help young Jamie, everyone could see how much talent he has and hopefully we can support him with Gearlink in 2010.”

Michael Johnstone, Kawasaki Motor UK Sales and Marketing Manager added, “These riders represent different types of racing but all excel in their field. Stephen will be a great team-mate to Ryan at the North West and we wanted to keep Jamie in the Kawasaki family after his impressive Championship victory last year.”
Be right back. I am going to go find myself, and if I leave before I get back, make sure to tell me !! -
