Dunlop joins forces with McAdoo Racing

The celebrated Cookstown outfit is marking its 30th anniversary this year and with double Isle of Man TT winner Dunlop on board, the team is confident of toasting the milestone with success on the international stage.

Dunlop will ride a Honda CBR1000-RR Superbike, a ZX-10R Superstock bike, a Suzuki GSX-R600 and a Kawasaki ER6 Supertwin under the McAdoo banner.

Hunts Motorcycles are providing additional support with Dunlop’s Honda Superbike, with Marlow Construction helping fund the Ballymoney lad’s 600cc Suzuki.

He will also have a ZX-10R as a spare Superbike plus a Kawasaki ZX-6R as a back-up machine in the Supersport class.

Jason McAdoo, team principal, said:
“The team will also provide Michael with two race transporters and have brought on board our sponsors GO Forecourt and many loyal trade sponsors who have been with McAdoo Racing for many years.

“Michael is the number one road racer around in our opinion and at just 23 years of age has the potential to dominate road racing for many years to come.

“He has already won TT, Ulster Grand Prix and North West 200 races and we hope 2012 will bring much more success for Michael and McAdoo Racing.”

Last year, Dunlop won the Superstock race at the TT and notched a hat-trick at the Ulster Grand Prix in the Supersport and Superstock races.

He also enjoyed success at the Southern 100, where his wins included victory in the feature Superbike race.
