Close on 200 Entries So Far for Pre-TT Classic

With less than two weeks until entries close for the 2019 Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic Road Races, a total of 197 entries have been accepted by the Race Committee so far.

The ‘busiest’ classes are the Senior (500cc), Junior (350cc), 850cc and Single Cylinder (350cc/250cc).

Moreton Rider Mike Hose, who has the most wins in the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Raod Races with 18 to date has rides in six of the seven solo races, whilst his closest rival, Huddersfield’s Bill Swallow, who has 16 race wins to his credit, has four rides in total this year.

Jamie Coward makes a welcome return to the Colas Billown Course and he too is entered in four races.

Other previous Classic Race winners returning for this year’s meeting, which will be held on Friday, Saturday and Bank Holiday Monday 24th, 25th & 27th May include Keith Shannon, Steven Elliott, Steve Ferguson, Barrry Davidson and Meredydd Owen.

The Sidecars are headed by Tadcaster crew Eddy Wright and Kieran Clarke who dominated all three races last year, whilst other crews including, Wally Saunders and Bob Dowty, Howard Langham and Doug Chandler, Tony Thirkell and Trevor Johnson, Andy Nourish and Nico Klinker amongst others will be determined to take the chequered flag first in the two races this year.
