Definitive TT Database Launched Thanks To Manx National Heritage
The results of every competitor who has ever completed a race around the TT Mountain Course are listed in the comprehensive directory.

You can compare the Mountain Course lap times of every TT since 1911 against Peter Hickman’s stunning Senior TT Race win in 2018, when he set the
new outright lap record at an average speed of 135.452mph. Alternatively you can track a rider’s entire Mountain Course career from their early days of racing at the TT or Manx Grand Prix.

The instant ‘advanced search’ facility allows you to research the TT’s rich history through a drop-down menu by races and years, with the results from every one of the 99 TT Race meetings listed in the directory along with a short-potted biography for many of the riders. Alternatively, a cumulative list reveals that while Joey Dunlop has the most wins – 26 – John McGuinness is the most successful in terms of TT podium finishes.

The database is driven by Manx National Heritage’s own
dedicated TT and MGP area on their iMuseum, which contains over 7,000 TT and Manx Grand Prix related collections, historic documents and images. TT Special newspapers from 1930 to 1960 are also available to research.

Edmund Southworth, director, Manx National Heritage commented:

“The TT is at the heart of Manx Heritage. As the Isle of Man agency responsible for the protection and promotion of the Island’s heritage and culture, we created the iMuseum to make information easily available on-line and worldwide. We are delighted to be extending this to race fans worldwide.”

“There’s so much data that you need technology to make it easily available online. What better way to celebrate the 100th meeting of the TT Races, than making the results of every one of those races available to view.”

He concluded:

“This is a great partnership. Knowledge Integration, our iMuseum technology provider, has been key in making this ‘data push’ happen and we are also very grateful for the volunteer support, notably from TT archivist Bill Snelling, to chart the entire history from the first race.”

The TT Results Database is now available
here.
