The 2001 Skerries 100 Road Races

A decision on whether the 2001 Skerries 100 Road Races should go ahead as planned on Saturday July the 7th will be made next Tuesday the 22nd of May, at the Loughshinny Motor Cycle Club's weekly meeting. The club hope to run their famous event at the planned date, however a final decision must be left to the land owners around the famous Milverton Circuit, who without their continued support, the races couldn't go ahead year after year.
Contingency plans have been discussed by the club should the event be cancelled, including running the Skerries 100 in place of their other meeting, the Killalane Road Races, due to take place in September. However, at the moment this is just speculation, and any contingency plans will only be taken further should the event be called off next Tuesday.

We will find out the decision shortly after it is made, and will inform you all straight away. In the mean time, check out The Loughshinny Motor Cycle Supporters Club Official Web Site at
