Bushy's Brewery boss Martin Brunnschweiler is seeing
the funny side of the TT's cancellation. The company has produced two T-shirts
for festival fortnight, which gets under way this weekend.
One shows a
farmer saying 'Ere stay orf my laaand', along with a 'cancelled' slogan across
the words Isle of Man TT 2001. The other shows a sheep pictured alongside the
Bushy's cartoon fox.
So far they are proving to be a hit,with orders
arriving from England, Germany and America. Martin said: 'Obviously
foot-and-mouth has been quite serious for everyone - we are trying to look at
the comical side.'
He added: 'We haven't intended to offend any farmers
but if any farmers are offended then I will gladly have a pint with them and
try and explain the angle we are taking.'
