Department of Infrastucture Information

The Department wishes to remind people that the A18 Mountain Road will close to traffic in both directions from Ramsey Hairpin to Creg Ny Baa at 10.00 am on Saturday 28th May to allow for the placement of cones and signs.

It will then reopen later the same day as a one-way road in the direction of the course from Ramsey Hairpin to Creg Ny Baa. Although the road will be one-way, it will still be illegal to cross solid white lines.

The one-way system will then remain in place for the duration of the TT period and will be policed around the clock.

For TT practice sessions the Mountain Road will close one hour earlier than the rest of the course to allow for the cones to be removed.

For TT racing, the Mountain Road will close half an hour earlier for the same reason, and the road will re-open as soon as cones have been replaced.

The Mountain Road will close to traffic in both directions from Ramsey Hairpin to Creg Ny Baa at 10.00 am on Monday 13th June to allow for the final removal of cones and signs. The road will re-open later the same day as a two-way road.

The Department thanks the local public and visitors for taking note of these arrangements.
