I was just wondering if anyone had any 2016 sector times as they haven't been put on the official site and times for the perfect lap shown last night were wrong - at least in part.
The sectors times that ITV4 quoted were:
4m09.437s Start to Glen Helen
3m02.142s Glen Helen to Ballaugh Bridge
3m12.475s Ballaugh Bridge to Ramsey Hairpin
3m13.557s Ramsey Hairpin to Bungalow
2m14.241s Bungalow to Cronk-ny-Mona
0m58.801s Cronk-ny-Mona to Finish
Total 16m48.656s total (134.662mph)
But, if you add up these six sectors you get a time of 16m50.653s (134.396mph) so something is wrong somewhere.
Certainly the last sector time record is NOT 58.801 as McGuinness did a 57.281 on lap 1 of the 2015 senior, and before that Rutter held the fastest last sector from the last lap of the 2013 senior at 57.417.
If they have just made a small typo and Hutchy's last sector was 56.801 rather than 58.801 then we have a total time of 16m48.653 which is close, but something else would still be wrong.
It's a shame that the official site is so hit and miss with which years it puts the sector times up for. If they had the 2016 sectors available we would be able to see where ITV4 made their mistake.
