A 47-year-old local man was due to appear in court this morning, having been arrested for driving a car against the one-way system from the Creg-Ny-Baa to Brandywell.
He has been charged with contravening a traffic sign following an incident at 12.45pm yesterday (Thursday).
Police described the actions of the motorist as ’very dangerous and irresponsible’.
A spokesman pointed out:
’All of these signs mean you cannot go against the one-way system on the Mountain.
’If you choose to ignore these signs and go against the one-way system on the Mountain you are likely going to find yourself arrested and put to the next available court.’
