Hi all, It's been mentioned a few times about a memorial for Malcolm - just wondering what your thoughts are ref location and text etc ? ... I'm over for nearly a month so have time to organise, source and fit - maybe a good meet up point too ? ...
That sounds like an excellent idea did he have any special parts on the TT course he liked or even on the island  itself I personally never met him but what he did for this forum deserves some recognition,  maybe in memory of Malcon who was instrumental in setting up the  TT forum may he rest in peace.
I did make a start at searching his posts but did not find anything in the time I had.
Happy to contribute financially - but I'm afraid not able to offer much else.
We put a plack up on the trees to the left as you come out the nook. It's been there a few years now with no problems . The clear fairy bridge every so often so wouldn't suggest there. Or Sarahs there a carpark just B4 the cottage I'm sure a good place could be fond there. I would be happy to contribute money and meet up for when you put up the plack.
Happy to contribute financially also.
Happy to contribute towards a plaque.
I'm also happy to contribute to the plaque.
I can throw some into the pot, too.
Happy to contribute As well
Happy to contribute towards a plaque.
great idea
he put a lot of hard work in to run this forum
I'm happy to contribute too.
I am happy to contribute to the plaque
If anyone has a picture of Malcolm and everyone gives a fiver or £10 we can get a plack but also we could get his picture on the fairing of the peoples bike. Its a team that brings young riders through at the TT using sponsorship from the fans . You can buy a space on the bikes fairing or pay for a lap of fuel ect . We have sponsored them for sometime now. You can call into there tent in the paddock for a free brew and they have a free evening of beer cakes and tea .
Just a thought last tap for Malcolm sort of thing. ?

Are you able to organise a plaque Alfie? I'm sure there will be more than enough collected.

No probs, money not a problem at mo just want to get it right - was thinking Malcolm's name and something like TTwebsite founder and lifelong bike racing fan, ideally get wheels in motion before 29th as i'll be more busy with response car driving thing after that.....please could someone let me know Malcolm's surname, i'll also have a look at potential locations... thanks
Re Malcom's surname:
I THINK it was Macdonald. Does that ring any bells?
