Re: John Leech - Anonymous - 21-06-2002

Hey John you've changed your tune.Last week you didn't like Billown and wouldn't do roads again.Must be the start money!!!!!

Re: John Leech - Anonymous - 21-06-2002

Where do i apply for the start money!!! Only joking Are you riding Barry?
I didnt even realise you were in the 250cc race. Barry i listened to the commentary and heard you pushed for ages? What was wrong?
If you are riding the Southern what bike are you on? And cheers Harvey!

Re: John Leech - Anonymous - 22-06-2002

Make sure it is a 250,as Im sure you will, cos Lintons bound to be there !!!! lol

Re: John Leech - Anonymous - 22-06-2002

Even better than that Ammo the bike will be a 266cc because the rules state up to 350cc! But maybe i should check the ACU hand book that the colour of my bike is original, Before Mr Linton The Dick sticks his hands in his pocket again!

Re: John Leech - Anonymous - 23-06-2002

If it says up to 350, your ok then, have a good ride.

Re: John Leech - Anonymous - 23-06-2002

The 250 was a bit rich and refused to fire,I did indeed push it a long way. That evening it fired up on the stand first spin.Ah well!

I was up to 4th in the 500 and the crank broke on the last lap :-( at Ballanorris.

I may only have the 250 Suzuki for the two Classic races yet,as my400 is deceased after the final TT practice session.Theres a slim chance of using someone elses 400,I hope so!

Look forward to seeing you there!!

Re: John Leech - Anonymous - 23-06-2002

The Classic races at the Southern 100 cater for up-to-350cc so you are OK, John.I used to race a (genuine) 315cc Suzuki a few years back.

Whereas the Pre-TT Classic have separate events for 250cc, 350cc, 500cc and unlimited machines. That way it's fair for everybody. When it ceases to be fair to everybody is when some riders merely change the fairing-or number plate colour-to get out in extra races when it is actually the same bike.Very tempting to do, but not fair!

The 266 would be a good bike for the Southern--I dont know who else is riding but it could be the most competitive Classic race for some years. Is Karl (Hayes) riding? And Bud never misses it!

Re: Barry Wood - Anonymous - 24-06-2002

Hello Barry. I believe Bud is riding but George Peach says that Karl Hayes has not entered.> Hopefully we can have a safe a good race!
See you soon!
