David jeffries - Anonymous - 29-05-2003

Hi this is a difficult question to ask but has anyone got any news about David Jeffries, i have just heard that he may have suffered a fatal accident and being bit of an avid fan of his i was wondering if anyone else out there had heard the same rumours.
Thanks

Re: David jeffries - Anonymous - 29-05-2003

I'm sad to confirm the rumours you had heard, but it is true. Apparently he crashed at Crosby and hit a telegraph pole. Jim Moodie was also involved, but I believe escaped unhurt.
Very sad.

I have no words for this terrible tragedy. This is the worst possible way for being tomorrow on the isle from Italy and looking at own first TT. But this is part of the terrible game named "Isle of Man TT races". Farewell Dave...

Re: David jeffries - Anonymous - 29-05-2003

I never had the pleasure to meet DJ, yet feel I knew him well. My words fail me but, for me, the following speaks volumes:

Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
and hug your sorrows to you, through the years.
But start out bravely with a gallant smile
and for my sake and in my name
live on and do all things the same. - Karo Baha Alchesay
