I can confirm that Peter's funeral service and cremation will be held at 2pm tomorrow, Friday 13th June at Douglas Crematorium (opposite the TT Grandstand). The obituary that appears in this week's Isle of Man Courier reads as follows :

He will be sadly missed by all his friends worldwide. Funeral service and cremation will take place at Douglas Crematorium at 2pm on Friday June 13th 2003. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to the TT Supperters' Club, c/o Mr R Hanks, 50 Lyndhurst Road, Birmingham B24 8QS. Peter will be remembered here when we have the Classic Club meeting (The Bob Mac) at East Fortune, where he was well known, and much loved. Rest in peace in your beloved Isle of Man, Peter.

It matters not if you knew the rider at all or they were a close and intimate friend, it always leaves that choking feeling when a road racer passes the checkered flag for the last time, no matter how many years you have been around you never ever can accept it without feeling sad.

Our thoughts a with both Peter and David this day as their families lay them to rest.
