Well done Malcolm for holding it together for so long, patience paid off.

RE: IOMTT Forum Closure - TTNeb - 21-11-2014

The reply buttons have now disappeared on the old forum in the last 5 minutes

RE: IOMTT Forum Closure - matjaq - 21-11-2014

Greetings everyone, nice here int it? A bit like moving house and someone's already got the kettle on.

However after about 100 attempts to register my old username MJ65 didn't make it!! Some sort of glitch, probably self inflicted. Many thanks to Malcolm for sorting it out.

Just as well really, it was poor attempt at a pun on my initials and the house number where I grew up being the reverse of 'JM' and '65' being a somewhat more realistic lap speed for my ability than '130'. Also once upon a time I was involved in a club racing bunch called Team 65 Racing named after the A65 which we loved to tear along of a Sunday morning, before realising a track might be a more appropriate venue. But it's gone now!

Nice to see so many familiar names and Spannerman back to his old self even.

Malcolm

Thanks for that link Malcolm. As Silja pointed out, it's all very well making it read only but you still need a forum button!

It's all the years of information that will be lost that I think is sad. So everyone is going to have to work very hard to get it all on here now. Think you've got a busy few days ahead of you Malcolm. Get a big pot of coffee on! [Image: smiley-eatdrink059.gif]

RE: IOMTT Forum Closure - H2pots - 21-11-2014

Yep, it's read only now, no reply button, that'll be that then, here we are, happy enough

RE: IOMTT Forum Closure - TTNeb - 21-11-2014

I hope Silja remembered to turn out the lights as the last poster over on other forum. He beat me by 1 minute so I can only lay claim to being the second-to-last ever poster on the old forum.

Onwards and upwards peeps

:-)
The last post is like this: "Now the Forum button is gone. As we thought it disappeared to the right! Wonder how to get here and read without that button. I've heard that the site will excist as a read only for a while. But the main question now is. HOW TO GET HERE???" And it contains a misspelling. Sorry! Of course exist is spelled like this and nothing else!

Lights turned off! And there's a link to get there: http://www.iomtt.com/Forum.aspx
Log in as earlier to read only!

Now there's another option created to get to the Forum Archive. On main page, move your cursor over TT 2015. At the bottom of the drop list you click "Forum Archive".

RE: IOMTT Forum Closure - Kursaal Flyer - 21-11-2014

Malcolm. Thanks for letting so many of us come aboard from our sunken ship, didnt even know there was a choice of vessels, I reckon I might have landed sunny side up looks good with easy to find information , I think I will be happy here.

A foot note I cannot understand the logic of closing the other page down . Kin mad !!

RE: IOMTT Forum Closure - Mad_Sunday - 21-11-2014

Hello chaps, this is my first post here using my phone :-)

Well it's gone......BUT we're still here :-)

Roll on TT 2015 and roll on plenty of forum banter.

Pete

And did you notice the 'Paradise' icon used at the 'Now read only' thread
That was a bit of a kick in the teeth if they mean it is now paradise for them now.

RE: IOMTT Forum Closure - wsn03 - 21-11-2014

Even Luke! This is great, it is like we've all moved from one pub to another. I never knew about this site until yesterday as it happens, so glad we the usual suspects are still going to be talking the usual b0ll0x to help while away the days waiting for the racing to start!
