Where is this? - SILJA - 28-11-2014

Got a booklet in my hand today. Isle of Man One Stop Guide issue 4. There is a picture in it, that I can't find out where it is. Doesn't look familiar to me. TT-course or Billown Circuit?

Thank you guys! The fact that made me unshure is the perspective in the picture. I must be shot with a quite long lens. If you look at the road sign in the background it appears rather close to the camera. On this enclosed picture, a freeze frame from a film with a quite wide lens, it looks like the bend is far away in front of the camera when it's almost at the road sign. Maybe the signs are moved closer to the bend? The freeze frame is shot 2011. Here is my picture from the film that I've made One Lap At The TT Course.

I watch at that wall on the right every year..great little spot is cronk na mona

RE: Where is this? - Electrajohnt - 02-12-2014

Is there facilities for the Ladies at Cronk na Mona? (Other than behind and hedge).

RE: Where is this? - SILJA - 02-12-2014

As far as I know there is facilities at outside the course at Signpost. You have to be at the left side of the road in the direction of travel.

EDIT: For my eyes this on the right=inside of the course looks as toilets.

RE: Where is this? - Superbike - 02-12-2014

None that I can think of at cronk-ny-Mona, unless you stand by the road that leads back to the cat with no tail pub,Hillberry near by is great either in the hedge or in grandstand some toilets and burgers available at the granstand or signpost just right of the red box in Albert's picture slower corner but the place is open to public just a donation to charity great sandwiches and well worth a look.

RE: Where is this? - wsn03 - 03-12-2014

There are facilities at Hillberry just before Cronk Ny Mona and a far far far better spot - lots of space and great viewing. Facilities are portaloos plus burger / coffee plus a Grandstand. To find space to sit on the hedge virtually inches from the action just keep walking up the road, plenty of space for all - was the first place I took my mrs to watch from, and she loved it.

Silja - in answer to your question of where is it............. Isle of Man...........
