Where ya watching - H2pots - 29-05-2019

For some it's already here, for a lot of us the TT is nearly upon us.

Where you folks planning to watch?

For me.... There's a few places I plan... Barregarrow crossroads, glen duff, ago 's and bungalow are high on my list but Glen helen could get a visit too.

That's race days, for practice i like to have a move about... Creg, governors, Barregarrow church, cronk y voddy, kirkmichael could all see me popping up for a nosey.

Where ya watching then?

Well let me see hmm may hill in ramsey, the bungalow, try and find out how to get on that field at laurel bank, Glen Helen approach in the field on the right good spot that, might have a trip to the creg and ballacraine.,and maybe some others. Phew that took some sorting. Have a good week!

Do you meant eh field up on the left, just past the marshals scaffold & little road/lane/track type affair?

Yes that's the one captain.

RE: Where ya watching - captainsparkledotcom - 30-05-2019

well, if you drive further along the road to the drive of the bungalow you can see at the edge of the field, the dormer one, and then go up the drive, that's the way in to the field. At least it was a few years ago,(2011, it turns out!!) when I filmed this -

(BTW I should have a Manx flag flying on the Rocket tomorrow, a tradition going back to the Millenium!! if I remember, gettin' old and that now, you know!)

RE: Where ya watching - Yamaham - 30-05-2019

I like the look of that, might give it a go! Only watched at Glen Helen once, up the bank beside the timing beam, was ok, but got eaten alive by midges!

Always think it's great at conkers, Crosby leap, cronky voddy, and Kates.

I'm planning a recce for good spots at Greeba and Kirk Michael. Anybody got any tips? Should be there this time tomorrow, can't wait!!

I'll look out for the flag cap

Yamaha. There a guy opens his house up at Greaba Lodge I think. Steep drive on the right. You can watch from the old tennis courts or walk down through the trees and sit on the grass bank. You are locked in but there a burger van and toilets. It's a good spot well worth a look.

Think I will head to Sulby Bridge area today. Then if the practice is cancelled it's a nice ride down to Bride for a famous cream tea. It's all about the back up plan

Hope you enjoyed your Bride Tea. I flag at Sulby Bridge and have hardly had them unfurled this week.
